PRIVATE PRACTICE
About Me
Hello! I’m Nadia, an Ecuadorean-Swedish psychologist living in Spain. I provide therapy in both English and Spanish.
I earned my BSc in Clinical Psychology and have lived and worked in Quito, Ecuador; Tilburg, Netherlands; and Malaga, Spain. I also hold a Master's degree in Victimology, Forensic Psychology, and Clinical Psychology.
I've gained valuable experience in various settings, including working in a prison where I counseled inmates and learned about the justice system. I’ve observed trials in Magistrates' and Crown courts and worked in a psychiatric crisis unit, which helped me develop skills in conducting assessments and supporting individuals during acute episodes.
In Ecuador, I worked as a forensic psychologist and victimologist at the National Center of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences. Later, in the Netherlands, I worked at a unique European inpatient clinic for adolescents and young adults facing various mental health challenges. Now, in Spain, I continue my work in an inpatient setting, focusing on trauma and integrating the family system into care.

My Therapeutic Philosophy
How does it work?
Starting therapy for the first time can be anxiety-producing. This page will let you know how I work and what to expect in the first session to reduce any worries you have. You are also welcome to e-mail me or call me with any questions.
We schedule a no-obligation 30-minute call free of cost. During this time, you can share what’s on your mind, and I’ll answer any questions you have. The goal of this call is to see if we’re a good match because it’s important that you feel safe and comfortable with your therapist. I believe healing happens through relationships, so trust is key as we begin your journey together.
In our sessions, I’ll use various techniques to help you understand your emotions, accept life’s challenges, and focus on what truly matters to you. We may also use a method to process difficult memories and practice mindfulness to stay grounded and reduce stress. Together, we’ll explore your goals and find the best way to motivate and support your personal growth.
